Our Story

We’ve Been Doing This Since Before Google Existed

DayTronX was founded in 1999 — when building a custom computer was cutting edge and most businesses were still figuring out email. A lot has changed. Our commitment to Northwest Indiana small businesses hasn’t.

Who We Are

Local. Personal. Built for Northwest Indiana.

DayTronX is a local managed service provider rooted in Northwest Indiana. We’re not a call center. We’re not a national chain with a local phone number. We’re your neighbors, and we treat your business like it matters — because to us, it does.

We work with local owner-operated businesses who need technology that works reliably, stays secure, and doesn’t require a PhD to manage. Our sweet spot is the 10 to 50 computer business that wants enterprise-quality IT without the enterprise price tag or the runaround.

Hi, I’m Ryan Day, founder of DayTronX.

I started DayTronX in 1999 building custom computers — back when that was how you got a machine that could actually perform. Over time the work evolved, and by 2008 I made the full transition to supporting local businesses exclusively. That shift wasn’t just a business decision — it was where I knew I could make the biggest difference.

Twenty-five years later I still work personally with every client. When you call DayTronX you’re not getting a ticket queue — you’re getting someone who already knows your setup, your team, and what matters to your business.

I take keeping current seriously. That means attending events like Google Next, staying close to what’s actually coming in technology, and maintaining strong relationships with local vendors so DayTronX can move fast when you need us to. You get the responsiveness of a local shop with access to knowledge and resources that punch well above our size.

When I’m not keeping Northwest Indiana businesses running, I’m probably exploring the next tool or workflow that’s going to save one of my clients a few hours a week.

Our Approach

IT Support That Feels Like Having Someone in Your Corner

We believe IT support should feel like having a trusted person in your corner — not a vendor relationship. That means we tell you what you actually need, not what generates the biggest invoice. It means we show up. It means we answer the phone.

It also means we stay ahead of what’s coming — whether that’s the latest cybersecurity threats targeting small businesses or AI tools that can genuinely transform how your team works day to day.

25 years in. Still local. Still personal. Still obsessed with making technology work for you.
